SOLAR POWERED CARGO BIKE


Driving on something other than petrol or diesel, it's not a distant sci-fi thought anymore. Build a cargo bike together that runs on hydrogen and is powered by a hydrogen panel.


In order to realise this project, there are a number of necessary elements that need
to be studied, designed and realised. For example, a fuel sheet and hydrogen
cylinder will have to be built into an existing cargo bike and a fuel cell will be connected to an electric motor via an adapted charging system and a (small) battery.


Expected results


  • A cargo bike with an electric motor, powered by hydrogen via a fuel cell
  • An integrated solar panel or hydrogen panel for autonomy
  • An attractive design that puts the (solar) hydrogen operator in the spotlight


Practical


  • Suitable for a team of approx. 5 students (bachelor and master level)
  • Estimated duration of 12 weeks (1 semester)
