DE SOLAR OLYMPICS

The Solar Olympics is a competition organised by the Agoria Solar Team for secondary school students to show what they can achieve with just solar energy and creativity.

You can participate in one of the following classes:

• Gadget class
  Think of a cool solar-powered gadget. Be creative! If your idea is among the best 20 entries, you can realize the gadget at our expense and present it at
  the Finals Day.

• Challenger class
  Design a mini solar car! Is your proposed cart one of the best ten concepts? Then you can build it at our expense. On the Finals Day the ten teams will
  race against each other over 15 metres in a straight line. The fastest wins!

This year the Solar Team organized a Pitch Bootcamp for the second time. This

gives an extra dimension to the competition by not only making the students enthusiastic about technology, but also stimulating their entrepreneurship and introducing them to issues such as pitching and business plans.

Duration
Throughout the school year. There will be 3 feedback moments where team members of the Solar Team will help the students and give tips. In addition, there is the Pitch Bootcamp, a day about entrepreneurship, and the Finals Day where all results are shown and judged by a jury. In the end there are no less than 6 prizes to be won in different categories.

The Solar Olympics is only organised once per school year and runs from the start to the end of the school year. So be there in time not to miss this start.
