Biohacking is a movement that wants to bring experimental biology from traditional research institutes to people's homes. Participants will learn how to build a thermocycler (for PCR, polymerase chain reaction) using Arduino and
other readily available electronic components.
In the long term, the iGEM Team wants to turn this into a Biohacking Academy: a series of workshops in which participants learn all kinds of biotechnological techniques and learn to build experimental equipment.
Target group
Adolscents & adults
Duration
1,5 to 2 hours
Language
Dutch
Location
On displacement
Cost
One-time 100 euros per thermocycler
Note
The team organises this workshop only 5 times a year, so the offer is limited
